Kathleen Sobieralski, CPA, Assistant Academic Director of Accounting, SUS, UMUC, provided curriculum review for this project. She has more than 25 years of experience in accounting and management, as a manager, consultant, administrator, and professor with a focus on ethics and not-for-profit organizations. Ms. Sobieralski's degrees include a Masters of Accountancy (University of Notre Dame) and an MBA (Indiana University-South Bend). She is currently completing her PhD in Educational Leadership at Indiana State University.
Elizabeth Scheffler, author for this project, serves as the Chief Operations Officer (COO) for the United States Copyright Office and is a UMUC accounting program faculty member. She holds undergraduate degrees in accounting and information systems, a master's degree in management information systems from UMUC, and a certificate in federal financial management from George Washington University. She is a certified government financial manager and a graduate of the 2003 Leadership Arlington program.
