The film crew that is part of the interdisciplinary team has arranged with an international cable network to produce a reality show about this undiscovered group. The film crew says that your participation (as anthropological consultant) in this project is critical to provide authenticity to the reality show. The cable network wants to call the show “Savages” and focus on the polygamous marriages, hunting, and on the punishment of children by the communal parents. The film crew says that the money that the network will pay for the show, as well as the donations that might be solicited from viewers, would provide monetary support to build homes, schools, hospitals, and infrastructure on the island for the population. Crew members say that the project would help these people and not exploit them.
