Summarize the qualities of a good experiment.
The following are qualities of a good experiment:
- narrowly defined subjects
- all subjects treated alike except for the factor or variable being studied
- a control group is used for comparison
- measurements related to the factors being studied are carefully recorded
- enough samples or subjects are used so that conclusions are valid for the population of
interest
- conclusions made relate back to the hypothesis, are limited to the population being
studied, and are stated in terms of probabilities
