UMUC Student Support
Center for Student Success
The Center for Student Success is the home of tutoring, the Effective Writing Center, EDCP 100, LIBS 150, Prior Learning, and Workplace Learning. All of these are directed at helping students to make the most of their learning experience by enhancing skills and recognizing that not all learning necessarily takes place in the classroom.
The Center for Student Success is also the place where you can find opportunities to network with other students and find mentors. It can be difficult to feel connected to other students and faculty members as an online student. Distance and competing demands for your time may limit your ability or interest in getting involved in student life, but for those students who are interested in feeling more connected to the university, there are opportunities available.
